2014 was a chaotic year for New York City weather. We had a very long winter, a relatively mild summer with a few outlying extremely hot days. Alex Bressler of ASBC, LLC recently compiled the City's weather data into a nice graph showing the recorded temperature for each day alongside the record high, low and normal range. In summary,
We had 25 days that were the coldest since 1995...We had 4 days that were the hottest since 1995...Average temperature for the year was 54.8° making 2014 the 6th coldest year since 1995
