Hailing from the Queens neighborhood of Hollis, Run-D.M.C. is one of the boroughs most famous rap groups. After forming in 1981, the group rose to International fame with hits like It's Tricky, holiday song Christmas in Hollis, and Walk This Way with Aerosmith. This vintage photograph from around 1985 shows the trio showing their Queens neighborhood pride under a Hollis Avenue street sign.
