Opening November 24th, 2017 at the David H. Koch Theater in Lincoln Center, George Balanchine's The Nutcracker is one of the most well-known and popular ballets ever created. Set to the classic music of Tchaikovsky, the ballet features ninety dancers, sixty-two musicians, thirty-two stagehands and two casts of fifty young students over the two-hour show.
As the clock chimes midnight, a brave young girl turns the tide in a battle between toy soldiers and mischievous mice, and a blizzard of ballerinas reveal a wonderful world of confection.
