The Incredibly Delicate Process of Blowing Glass at Brooklyn's UrbanGlass Studios

Glassblowing has been around for ages, but in the modern age of mass production, it is increasingly rare to find places where you can learn the craft. Brooklyn's UrbanGlass in Fort Greene is one of the few places in the City where you can learn to blow glass, casting techniques, kilnforming and other glass-related art forms.

UrbanGlass is a leading resource for both aspiring and established artists wishing to create with glass. We foster innovative art and advance the use and appreciation of glass as a creative medium.

In the video above, the detailed process behind blowing a stemless wine glass is shown. The short film was created by NYU Film Students Xialong Mu, Yuhang Jedy Chen and Craig Pickard.
