The Brooklyn Greenway Initiative is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based out of Brooklyn (obviously) that is committed to the establishment, development and long-term stewardship of the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway.
BGI has many events throughout the year to raise funds and bring attention to the waterfront including The Epic Ride, now in it's 7th year.
Ride 40-miles along the waterfront’s edge from Greenpoint to Rockaway Beach! Discover hidden and far flung neighborhoods, pedal through city, state and national parks and take in spectacular bridge and city views along the Brooklyn Waterfront and Jamaica Bay Greenways.
This year, The Epic Ride is on Saturday, July 25th. Check out the event page for more info on locations, pricing and tickets, and the after-party.
