We have poked fun at Taylor Swift a few times in the past year for her en-elected appointment as "New York City Welcome Ambassador", but this week she made a sizable charitable donation that is having New Yorkers look at her in a different light. The popular musician has donated $50,000 of her proceeds from the song Welcome to New York to the New York City Department of Education, helping out local schools of all levels immensely.
