Take This Tour of New York City’s Historic Hip-Hop Scene

Hush Hip Hop Tours is a unique way to learn all about the origins of Hip Hop in New York City. Led by key figures in the history of the genre such as Grandmaster Caz, the tour visits many of the hot spots in Harlem, Bronx, Brooklyn, and beyond to show you exactly where and how it all began. Check out this short video from Thrillist to learn more.

The Hush Tours itinerary includes stops at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, the famed Bronx apartment complex considered Hip-Hop’s birthplace, Harlem World, the former club that hosted some of the most famous rap battles of all time, and the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel, where the likes of The Notorious B.I.G. and Aaliyah were put to rest. Visitors also get a crash course on the history of Hip-Hop fashion and how to breakdance. Just don’t expect Grandmaster Caz to do any of the dancing.
