Spotlight on Broadway is a media project setup by the New York City Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment while under Bloomberg that seeks to celebrate the unique aspects of the 40 different venues in the Theater District that make it "Broadway". Part of the project includes creating behind the scenes looks and historical episodes like this one, The Survivors. In this episode, some of the older theaters on Broadway are highlighted, with the histories of their golden age, the circumstances that led to their abandonment and decay, and their return to glory.
