Secrets of New York Reveals The Unmarked Tomb of Railroad Magnate Jay Gould

Secrets of New York is a weekly show on WNYE (Channel 25) in which host Kelly Choi uncovers hidden or forgotten pieces of New York City history. In this short video, the show heads to Woodlawn Cemetary to reveal the unmarked tomb of Jay Gould.

The tomb of railroad magnate and stock manipulator Jay Gould is one of the best protected of the grand mausoleums of Woodlawn Cemetery. When he died in 1892, Gould had is coffin sealed in lead and made sure his family tomb was safe from intruders.
