In this short video, Eater NY reviews Ribalta's Hot Dog and French Fry Pizza, finding it surprisingly good. The pizza is exactly as you would imagine: a handmade Italian pizza with cooked french fries and hot dogs added on top after it comes out of the oven.
Seems like something very American right? This is actually a traditional Neapolitan pizza and one that you'll find at almost every pizzeria in Naples, in Italy.
In Italy, the pizza is usually meant as a fun dish for kids, but Ribalta has added it to their authentic pizza menu here where it sells to mainly adults and is a popular item on the menu.
You can try the Hot Dog and French Fry pizza yourself at Ribalta on 48 East 12th Street near Union Square in Manhattan.
