[WATCH] Are These New York City Public Bathrooms Worth the $0.25 Entrance Fee?

Local YouTuber actionkid105 recently posted a walkthrough tour of one of New York City's self-cleaning, public pay restrooms. They sit on the sidewalk in tourist-heavy areas like Madison Square Park, and cost a quarter to use. Are they worth it?

NYC has self-cleaning toilets which automatically cleans and disinfects after each use, but also comes with a 25 ¢ entrance fee. It also has a time limit of 15 minutes. Is it worth the admission?

I'd say if you are really in need of a public bathroom, $0.25 isn't much to pay to prevent an emergency, no matter what condition the bathroom is in. Otherwise, skip it.

Pizza rat, churro rat, bagel rat, shower rat, and of course the rat that set an entire subway car into a panic are all part of the internet’s love for rats. In 1968, the New Yorker published an article about the war on rats and the city’s health department was taking to exterminate the “pest”. Fifty years later and the rat problem has far from been handled--With rat poison, dry ice, and birth control, are we killing off more than just the 2 million rats that live among us?
