[REPOST] Tickets Available Now for the 2018 Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular Starring the Rockettes

The Christmas Spectacular featuring The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall is one of New York City's most beloved holiday shows. Starting in 1933, the 85-year-old show constantly reinvents itself, while simultaneously nodding to past traditions. This year's show features a brand-new finale scene featuring 100 drones.

The new finale scene, “Christmas Lights,” will be a stunning example of innovation blended with tradition. The finale begins at the conclusion of the “Living Nativity” scene with the original light of Christmas – the North Star. Fragments of light will suddenly appear as aerialists fly across the Great Stage. 100 drones, representing Christmas lights, will magically surround Santa Claus on stage, forming various shapes and patterns. The Radio City Rockettes will then be revealed, as they perform new choreography in glamorous new costumes designed by Tony and Drama Desk Award-nominated costume designer, Emilio Sosa.

The 2018 Christmas Spectacular runs through January 1st, 2019. Tickets are available now and start as low as $40.

See the World's Largest Chocolate Waterfall at Venchi in Union Square

Since opening in Italy in 1878, Venchi has grown into one of the country's largest chocolatiers. Expanding westward, the company recently opened a new shop and cafe on Broadway just north of Union Square that includes the world's largest chocolate waterfall. See it in action in this short video from Gothamist.

Italy's gourmet chocolatier Venchi opened its flagship NYC location last week—a narrow, festive storefront near Union Square that features a full gelato counter, towering walls of treats, extravagant coffee drinks, made-to-order crepes, and, in the back cascading behind the entire seating area, what is purportedly North America's largest chocolate waterfall. These seem like the kind of thing you'd want to be more compact, but sure, it certainly is an impressively expansive display at 10 feet high and 45 feet wide.

Check out the accompanying article for more photos and info on Venchi's new Union Square location.

While there have been changes since then, most of these underground tunnels still exist and gives you a rough idea of what is where, and how deep it is.
