[WATCH] See Staten Island's Clove Lakes Park From a Bird's Eye View

Clove Lakes Park is a 193-acre park in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Staten Island. It is home to the boroughs largest tree, a 119-foot-tall tulip tree. See it all from a bird's-eye-view in this short video from Joseph Del Villar and the Staten Island Advance.

Staten Island business owner Joseph Del Villar wanted to show borough residents Clove Lakes Park, “Like they’ve never seen it before,” he said. So he made use of a new fancy drone his teenage children gave his for Christmas to showcase the beauty of the 193 acres park in West Brighton. The park provides a wealth of recreational opportunities for borough residents and visitors alike, whether personal passions include jogging or heart-pumping competition sports on its athletic fields to bird-watching, fishing, and contemplative strolls along meandering woodland pathways.

This Instagram Photo Series Highlights the Colorful Homes of Queens, New York

All the Queens Houses is an interesting photo series from local artist/architect Rafael Herrin-Ferri which, as the site's title suggests, includes photos of houses found in the borough. The series highlights the more uniquely shaped and painted homes however, so it's not just one boring brick house after another. Check it out!

It is an attempt to reflect the incredible diversity of the borough’s population in its built environment. The neighborhoods represented so far, except Jamaica, are all in "Western Queens" (west of Flushing Meadows Corona Park) due to the higher concentration of houses that have undergone alterations and the proximity to the author's home neighborhood of Sunnyside.
