These Five Short Videos Profile Some Pretty Incredible Brooklynites

Brooklyn is a borough populated by people doing all kinds of wonderful things. In this reel, you’re going to meet a few of them. First up, an artist with green hair, green clothing, green everything, followed by a man has been tracking a posse of wild parrots for a decade. Then there’s the bodega owner who moonlights as a DJ and two guys who somehow manage to fit a 60-piece orchestra into their apartment for monthly recording sessions. Lastly, this Brooklyn barber is a cut above, catering to an LGBTQ clientele.

[WATCH] Take a Virtual Ride on the Coney Island Wonder Wheel

Open for an incredible 99 years, Deno's Wonder Wheel is a famous ferris wheel and amusement park in Coney Island that has been family owned for three generations. The Vourderis family of Brooklyn has been keeping the wheel running through storms and blizzards, hurricanes and, even worse, the 1980's. In this POV video from YouTuber ActionKid, see what it's like to take a ride on one of the wheel's stationary cages.
