How would New York City fare in a real Godzilla attack? “We survived de Blasio and Bloomberg, and they’re both giant monsters,” quipped one guy in Union Square. To find out exactly how the Big Apple would handle a Godzilla-size catastrophe, The Post spoke with Megan Pribram, assistant commissioner for planning and preparedness, who detailed the city’s steps for dealing with fire, debris, evacuation and more monster problems. Real estate search website Zumper recently analyzed their data and compiled the list of major metropolitan areas in the United States which have the highest median rents for a 1-bedroom apartment. Of course New York City is on the list with a whopping $2,980 per month, but our City is only #2 on the list. We have to feel bad a little for our San Francisco peers, who are shelling out $3,700 for the same size apartment! Check out the accompanying article for more.
