826NYC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Brooklyn that seeks to support students from age 6 through 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to help teachers inspire their students to write creatively.

The non-profit has a super cool storefront in Park Slope called Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co. where kids can go to help inspire their inner superhero, or if preferred, their inner super villain.

Here's what the weather looks like in the City right now.

Created in the 1920s, this incredible vintage film gives a tour of New York City buildings, streets, neighborhoods, hotspots, and attractions all throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. As a silent film, there are written descriptions of what you are seeing every few seconds. The film was found and uploaded to YouTube by Dutch historian, photographer, and videographer Michael Rogge. Well worth the 8-minute watch, check it out!
