Welcome to Jenkem Tries, a new video series where I, your editor Ben, try out the hobbies, hustles and pastimes of my friends and fellow skaters. For our inaugural episode, we’re looking into wheatpasting. Wheatpasting is a form of street art used by the smallest of creatives to the largest of advertisers, one that is so accessible that it only takes children's glue, water, and notebook paper in its simplest form. Intrigued, our editor Ben found a longtime NYC wheatpaster, Timothy Hutto, to take us through the motions.
[VIDEO] NYC’s Royal Rib House Dynasty
Jason Barnett has taken the reins from his parents and is now running Royal Rib House, a beloved BBQ mainstay in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn that’s been serving up the best ribs since Jason’s Grandpa Calvin opened the restaurant in the 60s. Staying true to Grandpa Calvin’s original recipes, Jason and his parents offer slow-cooked rotisserie chicken, chopped pork and chicken, and their specialty rotisserie pork ribs with Calvin’s Secret Sauce which have kept customers coming back for decades.
[VIDEO] NY High, a Gorgeous Aerial Video Over Manhattan Bridge and East River During Sunset
Brooklyn cinematographer and editor Taylor Morgan recently went out to Brooklyn Bridge Park just North of the Manhattan Bridge and spent the afternoon capturing some amazing sunset footage of it all.
A quick afternoon flight with my trusty DJI Phantom 3 Professional while the sun sets over the New York skyline.
NY High is also available in stunning 4k over on YouTube.
The song featured in the video is Blockhead — "Triptych, Pt. 3"
