Yes, I spent $15,000 on food in one day. But before you judge, wait until you see what three star dining looks like. In just a day, I ate breakfast at a one Michelin star restaurant, lunch at a two star, and dinner at a three star. Even getting a reservation at a Michelin star restaurant is difficult, let alone actually dining and stomaching the often steep price of the meal. I want to give a massive thanks to the three restaurants and their amazing teams for allowing us to document the experience and even venture into their sacred kitchens. Those of you watching should consider yourselves lucky, too. Seeing behind-the-scenes in such high-end kitchens is something truly special.

This great vintage photograph shows the R.H. Macy and Company block-wide department store and surrounding Herald Square in 1905. The view is from atop a building across 6th Avenue looking west, with 35th Street on the right and 34th Street just barely showing on the left. Sculpted in 1985 by artist Greg Wyatt, the Peace Fountain resides on the grounds of The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine. The 40-foot tall bronze sculpture depicts several scenes of good vs. evil, with the Archangel Michael and his defeat of Satan as the centerpiece. The inscription the a plaque on the base of the fountain read:

Peace Fountain celebrates the triumph of Good over Evil, and sets before us the world's opposing forces—violence and harmony, light and darkness, life and death—which God reconciles in his peace.When the fountain operates, four courses of water cascade down the freedom pedestal into a maelstrom evoking the primordial chaos of Earth. Foursquare around the base, flames of freedom rise in witness to the future. Ascending from the pool, the freedom pedestal is shaped like the double helix of DNA, the key molecule of life. Atop the pedestal a giant crab reminds us of life's origins in sea and struggle. Facing West, a somnolent Moon reflects tranquility from a joyous Sun smiling to the East. The swirls encircling the heavenly bodies bespeak the larger movements of the cosmos with which earthly life is continuous.

Despite being built as a fountain, the sculpture currently holds no water. You can see the amazing sculpture in person at 1047 Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan's Morningside Heights.
