[VIDEO] How the NYPD Took Down a Massive International ATM Card Skimming Operation

In 2017, detectives from the New York City Police Department’s Financial Crimes Task Force took down an international ATM skimming ring. The thieves had stolen money from hundreds of bank account holders across Brooklyn and Queens. The investigators put together a case with the Queens District Attorney's Office that ultimately sent the three thieves to jail.

This great vintage aerial photograph shows the Williamsburgh Savings Bank Building in 1929, the year it finished construction and opened to the public. Once the tallest building in Brooklyn, it held the title all the way until 2010, and it currently the 6th tallest at 514 feet. Here is a Google StreetView of the building from the same angle as it appears today, although at ground-level:

Google’s newest office in Manhattan is actually almost a hundred years old. It was built inside of and on top of an old rail terminal. Unlike its Silicon Valley headquarters filled with ping pong tables and nap pods, the tech company’s new office is designed to reflect its new culture—one focused on flexible ways to work.

WSJ took a tour of Google’s St. Johns Terminal in New York City to see what the new integrated workspace looks like.
