An album of 7 photographs dating back to 1876 are up for auction
at the Swann Galleries. Photographed by B.J. Smith, an architectural photographer, the shots feature
the interior of a Clinton Hill home that was owned by W.H. Nichols, a wealthy co-founder of
the G. H. Nichols and Company. The Brownstone, once located at 353 Clinton Avenue,
now looks like this.
Estimates place the auction price for the 7 original photographs between $500 and $700.
