NYPD Rescues Cat From Certain Death in the Subway

Lesson #82 on Cat Ownership: No cat likes to be put on a leash.

When this cat escaped from its owner on the Canal Station's E-train platform, it quickly bolted across the tracks and setup shop, blissfully unaware of the danger it put itself in. Luckily, the owner was able to get the train stopped in time, and get the NYPD out to help rescue the cat before one of its 9 lives was taken.

A mischievous cat escaped from a leash at a Manhattan subway station and delayed more than 80 trains when it jumped onto the tracks during Wednesday afternoon rush-hour, authorities and transit sources said.
