Non-Profit Organization Encourages Donations to Homeless Buskers

The Coalition for the Homeless, a New York non-profit, is the United State’s oldest hands-on organization helping homeless men, women and children. The new HOME program in New York City is a multi-faceted approach to decreasing the ever-rising number of homeless people in the City. Currently, there are over 56,000 people sleeping in NYC homeless shelters each night, and thousands more on the streets. One of the ways HOME is trying to help is by convincing everyday commuters to give money to the men, women and children who play music on the streets.
