New York City's Newest Residents are about 700 Pounds, Brown, and Really Hairy

The Central Park Zoo has a new exhibit starting today. Sponsored by the Wildlife Conservation Society, the Brown Bear exhibit brings Betty and Veronica, both female Grizzly Bears, to the Central Park Zoo. Both bears come from National Parks out West where regulations and strict hunting restrictions caused them to be too accustomed to humans, a liability in the wild. To help protect them, the Wildlife Conservation Society has found a great home for them in the Central Park Zoo. Welcome to New York City ladies.
