New York City Singles Organized and Mapped Out By Age, Gender and Zip Code With Surprising Results

Our friends over at Visualizing NYC (no relation) recently created this amazing interactive map in which NYC singles are organized by age, gender and zip code, allowing you to easily see which parts of the City have more of the single demographic you are seeking. In other words, hit up bars in those areas with your crazy Tinder. Blue areas have a larger proportion of single men, and pink areas have packs of single women.

Single women are dominating Manhattan. East Village? Women. West Village? Women. Upper East? Women. Upper West? Women. Women, women, everywhere, and not a man to date! Men have a couple holdouts, with the blue chunk on the left and the one at the bottom. I can’t say I know what the story is with the one on the left (email or tweet if you do), but I spend a lot of time down under that side of the Manhattan bridge, and while it looks like the Lower East Side I can tell you this: all of those single men are living in Chinatown.

The accompanying article on Visualizing NYC is a short but interesting and insightful read, especially if you are in the dating scene.
