The flag erected by FDNY shortly after the 9/11 attacks went missing only hours after going up, and stayed missing for nearly 15 years. After all this time, the flag has been located, tested for authenticity, and will be returned to the 9/11 Memorial Museum in time for the 15th year since the attack.
