Meet Chuck Burns and Ty Rone, Brooklyn's Newest Blues Rock Americana Duo

Chuck Burns and Ty Rone only met two years ago at an open-mic night somewhere in Brooklyn, but quickly hit it off and formed a powerhouse blues rock, Americana folk duo. Burns' driving guitar licks and husky voice paired with Rone's finely tuned harmonica chops meet perfectly at the intersection of soul and precision.

Chuck Burns unorthodox delivery comes from his roots in death metal. Their songs drift between scents of Americana, Soul, Blues, and Roots in the spirit of Shakey Graves, Luke Winslow King, and Van Morrison.

The duo has been blowing away the Brooklyn busking scene for awhile now, but have bigger plans for the summer.

The duo is bringing their electrifying street performances to the stage for the first time this summer in conjunction with the release of their first album "Leave of Absence".

Check out their tour page for a complete schedule of their upcoming local gigs and national tour.

The above video, shot in Red Hook by Sharan Kukreja, is for a song titled Me oh my appearing on their new album.
