Manhattan Bridge From Brooklyn: March 27th, 1909

Seeing old photographs like this really make you sit sit back and awe at the effort that went into building New York’s infrastructure. You can’t spot a single building we would call a skyscraper today, yet we were able to complete these massive construction projects on all the bridges.
