On his BookwormHistory channel, YouTuber and historian Dan Thurber recently told the interesting story of how the Metropolitan Museum of Art was designed and constructed, and why there are 4 large piles of unfinished stone blocks sitting atop its facade.

This week on “A City Full of History” we visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art to try and figure out why the famous Fifth Avenue façade is topped with four piles of uncut stone blocks!
