If You're Willing to Brave the Freezing Cold, There's a Fireworks Show on the Hudson Celebrating Chinese New Year Tonight

Despite the Lunar New Year (a.k.a. Chinese New Year) not occurring until February 19th, there is a large fireworks show being put on tonight as part of the celebrations. The fireworks will be deployed from barges on the Hudson, near the Chinese Consulate on 42nd St and 12th Ave. Organizers say the show should rival the Macy's 4th of July show in
size, but will anybody brave the freezing cold temperatures tonight to see it? The fireworks displays starts tonight at 7:30pm.
