56-year old model Mark Reay is the subject of a new tell-all documentary entitled Homme Less which exposes the seemingly "unglamorous facet and economic shortcomings of a model struggling to afford simple, life necessities."
While it doesn’t necessarily coincide with the stereotypical series of successes that surround the model industry, the film does recount his financial distresses.
Sure I lived in the East Village, but not in an apartment. I slept in the open air, battling the elements inside a sleeping bag on the rooftop of a friend’s building. From August 2008 to July 2014, my only shelter was a tarp.
The documentary will premiere at the IFC Center on 6th Avenue on August 7th.
