Sing for Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that brings dynamic arts outreach programming to under-resourced communities throughout NYC.
Their Pop-up Pianos program has been in the City every summer since 2010 and consists of 88 painted pianos being placed in public spaces all around the 5 boroughs.
People are encouraged to play as much as they want for a few weeks, then before they are taken away, the 88 pianos are placed together in Lincoln Center for a massive interactive public art installation.
Catch one of the pianos at the locations on the interactive map from June 9th through 19th.
If you are on an iPhone/iPad, check out the Sing for Hope App that helps you find nearby pianos to play!
