Help the Bronx Zoo Break the Record for Largest Display of Origami Elephants in Honor of World Elephant Day

To celebrate World Elephant Day, the Bronx Zoo is attempting to break the world record for the largest display of origami elephants with the help of its visitors.

This year for World Elephant Day, let's trample the current Guinness World Records title! We're in the process of trying to fold 35,000 origami elephants to honor the number of real-world elephants lost each year for their ivory. Visit the zoo and have some fun folding with us.

If you want to help out the cause check out the Wildlife Conservation Society website for several templates on folding elephants as well as information on mailing the elephants to the zoo. You can also participate at the Bronx Zoo where they will be holding origami events.
