Local artist Marcelle Murdock recently painted this stunning mural on the High Line, near West 20th Street and 10th Avenue. The portrait is somewhat photo-realistic, but a little rough around the edges, by design. Murdock explains:
[…] the paintings are photorealist using only oil paint and some ink for minute details. […] requires precise attention, which I have in abundance, but also patience which I do not. This reality reflects my own duality – both meticulous and impetuous.
