Brooklyn Museum Spotlights Sneaker Culture

Sneaker lovers citywide should flock to the Rise of Sneaker Culture exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum! Located on the 5th floor of the museum, the exhibit gives viewers an alternative perspective on the ins and outs of sneaker culture.

The exhibition, which includes approximately 150 pairs of sneakers, looks at the evolution of the sneaker from its beginnings to its current role as status symbol and urban icon.

Featuring sneakers from respected manufacturers like Nike and Adidas, the exhibit draws a connection between sneakers and both it’s impact and influence in regards to pop culture. The exhibit runs through October 4th, 2015.
