Brain Cancer to New York Marathon in Six Months

Jacob Walker, a freelance sports producer from Melbourne, Australia, was diagnosed
with brain cancer in February 2014. Shortly after his diagnosis, Jacob had surgery to remove the brain tumor.
During his recovery, Jacob made a pact with himself to complete the New York Marathon in November.

Jacob decided to run for the charity B*Cured, an organization that provides funding for Brain Cancer Research,
which gave him an entry into the race. In just 6 short months, Jacob was able to recover from the surgery, train for and finish the Marathon, as
well as raise funds for Brain Cancer research.
