New York City is facing two separate but big crises... how do you combat the effects of rising sea levels on the city, and how to manage the increased demand for housing as the population continues to grow. So lo and behold this map shows an ambitious plan to solve both of these issues. It's called the New Mannahatta Project., a throwback to its original name Mannahatta from the Lenape Tribe. Now this idea is insane... it's one of the most extensive building ideas proposed for New York City if not the United States as a whole.
