Brooklyn filmmakers Destruction Inc. have produced award-winning work for The Onion, HBO, Cinemax and others in the past, but now they want to create their own Bushwick-based slasher film, PSYCHOTIC!
The rent is high but the body count is higher in this suspenseful horror slasher that follows two struggling artists, Tim and Stuart, as they try to patch up what’s left of their friendship, pay the damn rent on time, and search for love at some of the hottest hot spots in Bushwick. But instead, they stumble into a world of murder, mystery, and madness that might cost them both more than $1400 a month… it’ll cost them their LIVES. It’s up to Tim and Stuart to figure out who keeps killing the life of the party – no easy task when all of your friends are PSYCHOTIC!
This first scene has already been filmed, and now the filmmakers are looking for additional producers (read: you) to help fund the rest of the movie with the help of an ambitious Kickstarter campaign.
Rewards for producers (read: backers) range from a thanks in the credits, to the EP title and an epic on-screen death. So far, Destruction, Inc. has raised about $8k of the target $50k, with just under 3 weeks to go.
