Brooklyn-based photographer Navid Baraty was looking for a way to showcase the heart of New York City
in a way that people normally don't get to see.
After seeing countless skyline photos, I found that the real life of the city could often be captured best by pointing the lens straight down from high above the streets.
Navid shot both at day and night, from skyscrapers and even taller skyscrapers to get these fantastic viewpoints.
