Local transit historian and railfan Dj Hammers makes tons of great videos showing how subway transit works and runs in the City.
In this recent upload to YouTube, Dj Hammers captures one of the MTA's vintage trains passing through the 59th Street station, all in glorious 4k.
I was waiting for the A train, and heard the unmistakeable sound of an R9 whistle. A few seconds later, this 3 car train of R1-9s passed through, heading to the museum. Barely got my phone out in time to get a video.
