Conner McCormack, head winemaker at Brooklyn Winery in Williamsburg, talks about some of the challenges of making wine in the City.

...it's basically a massive game of Tetris, at all times. And you have to be, everybody has to be very flexible. Right now we're maxed out. I can't fit another barrel in here. In 2010 we did about 2500 cases of wine, and last year we did 9000 cases of wine.

Rooftop Reds is a winery located in the middle of New York City, on an old industrial building in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

In this video from our friends at Untapped Cities, take a brief tour of the vineyard and learn all about how they make it work.

[Rooftop Reds] is the first “commercially viable rooftop vineyard in New York City,” according to the company’s website. Rooftop Reds opened in 2015. Since then, they have been growing their first batch of grapes, which will be ready for harvest in October 2016. The actual wine will be bottled and sold sometime in autumn 2017.

Famed chef and restauranteur Michael White recently opened a new upscale French restaurant on the Upper East Side called Vaucluse, and the Knicks' Carmelo Anthony was there to help on opening night.

New York Knicks player Carmelo Anthony was chosen to host a dinner at Michael White's new French restaurant Vaucluse. The three-course dinner was paired with wines chosen by Carmelo himself, and while everyone enjoyed the '88 Krug and '82 Chateau Margaux, it was the 1985 Sassicaia that took home the honor of Carmelo's top pick.
