New York reduced to a miniature city? In New York Resized, photographer Jasper Léonard offers you a completely new perspective on The Big Apple. His Tilt-Shift technique creates a dazzling bird's-eye perspective. Taking pictures from rooftops, helicopters or even drones, Léonard points his lens at the skyscrapers and yellow cabs from above, transforming the city into a swirling ant-hill of miniature people. His images are accompanied by the best quotes about New York, and his unique style guarantees that this is the most original photobook about New York that you will ever see.

Back in October we shared the directors cut of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert tilt-shift intro clip by filmmaker Fernando Livschitz and Black Sheep Films.

Today, with the help of Skyrise Cities, we go over several of the scenes featured in the 2 minute video.

Since The Late Show with Stephen Colbert premiered on September 8, viewers have been captivated by the credit sequence used at the beginning of each episode. The introduction employs a tilt-shift effect to selectively focus on a variety of urban scenes in New York City — from aerial skyline views to Stephen Colbert himself dancing on a Manhattan rooftop — making them appear miniature in scale.

Watch the full video here. Enjoy.
