The Gowanus E-waste Warehouse is a large facility in Brooklyn that allows New Yorkers to drop off and recycle discarded, old, and/or broken electronics for free. The goal of the warehouse is to reduce the contamination that the toxic electronic parts would add to our landfills, and ultimately, our environment. This collection of vintage tech is also the perfect spot for movies and television shows to find the old electronics they need. Learn more about the warehouse in this interesting video from Gizmodo.

Deep in Brooklyn, there's a warehouse that supplies vintage electronics to film and movie sets.

In this video from our friends at Eater, watch as some fancy machinery helps pump out fresh pasta at Sfoglini.

The colorful and intricately shaped fresh pastas from Brooklyn's Sfoglini Pasta Shop are like miniature works of art, and the machines responsible for them are mesmerizing to watch. At the company's production facility at 630 Flushing, batches of cavatelli, reginetti, radiators, and more rain down onto sheet pans and squeeze out of molds in brilliant, carbohydrate-filled excess.

This vintage film from 1993 doesn't quite feel vintage at all. Usually we associate older film with grainy video and audio quality, but this 23 year old footage is anything but. Right when 1080p60fps video was starting to emerge, long before it was affordable for household television, this film was put together as a sample.

In 2002 D-Theater D-VHS launched in the US - the dealers needed a demo tape of HD footage. JVC reused some HD video that had been shot as a demo for the Japanese HD market back in 1993. You can tell it's 1993 by the adverts in Times Square - the Radio 501 CD that's advertised on a billboard came out in 1993 and Paper Moon is playing at the Marquis Theater.
