At 65 feet long, "Hot Dog in the City" tops the record for World’s Largest Hot Dog Sculpture. EarthCam captured the installation which features hydraulics, animatronics, and daily bursts of confetti. Located in the heart of Times Square, it will also be an anchor for serious talks, playful performances, and political debate.

This is the bleak future of the Vessel NYC in Hudson Yards. The Hudson Yards is an architectural marvel meant to transform the skyline of Manhattan in New York City and at the heart of it all is a strikingly unique landmark called the Vessel. The Vessel is a structure designed by British architect Thomas Heatherwick and funded by Hudson Yards developer Related Companies. Following the Vessel's operation, it has since become a place of several tragic accidents that lead to the closing of the structure from visitors until further notice.

[VIDEO] Charles Ray: Figure Ground Virtual Opening at The Met

Join Kelly Baum, Cynthia Hazen Polsky and Leon Polsky Curator, and Brinda Kumar, Associate Curator, to explore this exhibition, which presents the work of one of the most important contemporary artists: Charles Ray (born Chicago, 1953). For over five decades, Ray has experimented with a wide range of methods, including performance, photography, and sculpture, the medium for which he is best recognized today. In the process, he has utilized a variety of materials and pioneered major advances in sculptural production. Ray’s work addresses in elliptical, often irreverent ways not only art history, popular culture, and mass media but also identity, mortality, race, and gender. This exhibition unites sculptures in a range of materials from every period of Ray’s career with key early photographs, exploring central aspects of his challenging and sometimes provocative oeuvre. Located at The Met, whose collection the artist has studied closely for many years, "Charles Ray: Figure Ground" features a suite of works whose arrangement in space forges subtle connections between objects and viewers.

[WATCH] PASSAGE - Interactive Art Installation By Serge Maheu In Garment District

The Garment District Alliance has unveiled Passage, an interactive art installation comprised of 20 circles of light that form a pedestrian tunnel on Broadway. As visitors walk through the exhibition, each circle emits light and sounds, creating a transformative, playful experience in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. The installation was created by Serge Maheu, with fabrication and assembly by Félix Ménard. Passage is free and will be available to the public through February 13th. @GarmentDistrictNYC
