This is one of the coolest New York City apartments of All Time, hands down. It has 2 floors and a massive outdoor space that could hold at least 10 honda civics no problem. Plus, its got insane views of Midtown manhattan which are surprisingly peaceful since there is not a direct line of site to a busy street. This place would be so comfortable to live in, but the only issue is Im unable to afford it. How about you?

Look Up Any Parking Sign in New York City With This Official DOT Website

While it's true that the majority of New Yorker's don't even own cars, the ones of us that do have a tough time parsing the City's complicated parking rules and regulations. Alternate side parking? Street sweeping? No standing? It's so bad that Louie C.K. even did this hilarious sketch on it.

There is a little known tool on the NYC.gov website called Parking Signs and Locator that can help a little. You enter in any borough, any street, and the 2 bounding cross streets, then get presented with the text on all the parking signs for that block. It can help by letting you parse the complicated rules before you get to the street, rather than when you are already 5 minutes late and scrambling for a spot.

Finding a parking spot in New York City is tough, we all know that. If you see a spot which is unreachable at the moment, it may be tempting to have somebody hop out of the car and save it for you, but please don't do this. Not only is it illegal in NYC 4-08(n)(7), it creates unnecessary conflicts like the one seen on this video.

A driver finds a parking spot. He is blocked by two females. Driver assures females they cannot do that and they respond with yelling and profanity. Police are called. Asian elderly man squeezes in with them waving him in. Cops arrive. Asian man drives away fast. Driver pulls into parking spot. Speaks to police and points out the females. Ratchet teen curses, yells, wishes death upon the driver and his family. 62 Precinct sergeant puts them in their place.

The NYC Parking Pay or Dispute App is an official app for iOS and Android from the City of New York in which you can pay or dispute parking tickets and violations given in the City. According to the app, you are able to:

Pay tickets by credit card, through your bank account or Apple Pay.
Dispute a ticket immediately using your device’s camera to upload evidence.
Search ticket(s) using violation or license plate numbers.
Save tickets you have previously searched for.
Save license plate and billing information on your device.
View payment history by ticket or license plate numbers.
Receive receipts by email and/or text.
