Google’s newest office in Manhattan is actually almost a hundred years old. It was built inside of and on top of an old rail terminal. Unlike its Silicon Valley headquarters filled with ping pong tables and nap pods, the tech company’s new office is designed to reflect its new culture—one focused on flexible ways to work.

WSJ took a tour of Google’s St. Johns Terminal in New York City to see what the new integrated workspace looks like.

In this video from BRIC TV, take a tour of their space, and find out what it's like to work there.

Livestream, the leader in live video with more than 300,000 producers and 40 million monthly viewers across the globe, moved its Headquarters to Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York. The move marks a first for technology companies relocating to the outer boroughs, with Livestream poised to bring technology, arts, entertainment and manufacturing back to its roots in Bushwick.

According to LinkedIn, monotonous grey cubicles are out and funky shared spaces are in. Inspired by social-business clubs of the 1920s, LinkedIn has created an office space that incorporates the City's rich history with the sophisticated (yet relaxed) work culture of the 21st century.

The very collaborative atmosphere, which occupies seven floors of the Empire State Building, includes a wall dedicated to employee's pets, open seating-style work and meeting spaces, and even a room solely used for games of pool. And let's not forget the employee speakeasy lounge - maybe we really can work hard and play hard.
