It sits atop a 150 foot pole outside of the business and is visible for miles in all directions. Check it out when in West Brighton, Staten Island.</p>

While it's always great having the chance to see fireworks, it was not as great a display as I was hoping for. I think the fireworks shows at Walt Disney World have really made me spoiled! <p>This year, the <a href="http://social.macys.com/fireworks/">40th Annual Macy's 4th of July Fireworks</a> has a companion app for iOS and Android devices that will let you watch the firework show digitally alongside the real thing in the sky.</p>

<p>In addition to the pyro in the sky, this year Macy’s is putting light into the hands of revelers everywhere with the Makelight App. […] On July 4th, spectators will marvel as their phones synch with the awe-inspiring display, mirroring the colors seen in the show as they ignite the night.</p>

<p>If you are not in the City, or can't make it outside or close enough to see the fireworks and participate in the show, the App will still be a cool way to check out the event from home.</p>
