Our friend and talented filmmaker Nico Heller of Heller Films is holding a "Best New York Accent" contest on Instagram. Do you or somebody you know have what it takes to win? Check it out?

Wanted to let you know that the past two days I have been holding a Best NY Accent challenge on my Instagram page. At first it started as a fun quarantine activity to keep NY pride alive, but it has quickly turned into a viral moment with the hashtag #BestNYAccent. We are getting incredible entries, and will be deciding the best NY accents on April 10th with very special guest judges.

[VIDEO] Joey Chestnut, Miki Sudo Repeat as Champs at Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest

Devouring an impressive 71 hot dogs in 10 minutes, defending champion Joey "Jaws" Chestnut won the coveted Mustard Belt for the 12th time Thursday afternoon at the annual Nathan's Famous Fourth of July hot dog eating contest on New York City's Coney Island boardwalk. This year, Chestnut faced 17 opponents, including 2015 winner Matt Stonie -- the only man to beat Chestnut since 2007. Chestnut easily topped second-place finisher Darron Breeden, who downed 50 hot dogs and buns, and Geoffrey Esper (third with 47). This was Chestnut's his fourth time consuming over 70 dogs, and last year, he set a record by eating 74 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

9th Annual Coney Island Beard and Moustache Competition Returns This September

The 9th Annual Coney Island Beard And Moustache Competition is returning to Brooklyn this Saturday, September 3rd, 2015 at 6pm.

The strangest and most extravagant beards and moustaches descend upon Coney Island to see whose facial hair reigns supreme. Over the past eight years, hundreds of bearded men (and women) have competed to take home the much coveted Beard & Moustache Fez trophy.

Don't Waste Money on Water Filters, New York City's Tap Water is Award Winning

The Department of Environmental Protection announced this week that New York City's tap water won the top prize in New York State’s Regional Metro Tap Water Taste Test competition.

The contest took place Thursday at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan, where New York City’s water went tap-to-tap with drinking water suppliers from Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk and Orange counties. Museum visitors sampled tap water from each supplier and ranked them by taste, according to the DEP. New York City’s tap water was judged to be the best tasting, followed by water from Elmsford in Westchester County. After winning the Regional Taste Test competition, New York City tap water will next compete in a state-wide contest in Syracuse on Sept. 2.

Bono Invites You to Ride a Tandem Bike With Him in Central Park for (RED)

When U2 frontman and philanthropist Bono was involved in a bike accident a few years ago, seriously injuring himself in the process, it was thought that he may never play guitar again.

Surprisingly light-hearted about the incident, Bono recently created this comedic video announcing a contest in which you can win a ride on a tandem bike through Central Park and get ice cream with the celebrity.

Forget about jumping out of a plane, scaling Mount Everest, or getting in the ring with Mike Tyson. Bono is bringing you and a friend to New York City to REALLY live on the edge. You’ll meet him for a morning of stories and signed merchandise before embarking on a lovely bike ride through one of the most iconic places in the world. After that (provided you all survive), Bono has one more stop to help you cool off that recent rush of adrenaline: ice cream. We’ll provide your flights and 4-star hotel; Bono will provide the motorcycle helmets.

You can enter the contest an unlimited amount of times, but each entry has a dollar amount donation associated with it, with all donations going to fight aids through (RED).

Join co-hosts Don Jamieson of VH1's That Metal Show and Adam RealMan as they lead the panel of hirsute celebrity judges to weed out the best whiskers in New York City and beyond.
