Every New Yorker is familiar with Showtime dancers cheering up a full subway car - though these days dancers get arrested instead of earning tips for their talents. Dancers are being forced out of the subway and now have alternative events like “Its Showtime NYC” to legally dance above ground. This was the original inspiration for EROSION - a changing city, that is losing culture and character while it gets cleaned up. Moving towards a landscape of sterile glass high rises. It is a a safe, clean, boring new world!

I felt I needed to document how much the #coronavirus has changed #NewYorkCity. New York on pause has turned the city that never sleeps into an empty and desolate city. These popular spaces, which are normally overcrowded with visitors are now left bare. I made this short film to capture the new tone of NYC. Please share to help slow the spread so that we can get back to our beloved city that never sleeps!

Back in 2016, Los Angeles based filmmaker Vadim Tereshchenko created this stunning video featuring a collection of hyperlapse videos shot here in New York City. The editing in the video is incredible!

This is compilation of hyperlapse videos that I shot during my first trip to New York. This city is very energetic and dynamic, so I tried to make my video the same. This video doesn't show even a 1% of the New York's beauty, these are the only places I had time to visit. But anyway, I used a lot of self-developed tricks and techniques in both the shooting and editing processes - it took a lot of time and passion to make this video. Thank you and hope you enjoy it!

Brooklyn cinematographer Tim Sessler owns and operates a great film company called Brooklyn Aerials. While they normally specialize in amazing aerial videos, to make this video, the team used a special handheld camera rig called the Firefly Mimic that allowed them to get the silky smooth look and feel. Combined with an excellent high-speed camera, they were able to capture this beautiful, peaceful collection of random New Yorkers going about their business in wonderful slow motion.

During the three days of production we were able to reach locations all over New York City easily [...] from Bedstuy in Brooklyn to Ridgewood and Willets Point in Queens and of course countless locations in Manhattan [...] from Wall Street to the Flat Iron to Central Park.
