Surrounded by New York City streets on all sides, you won't get completely lost in Central Park as you can simply walk in any direction to get out. But sitting at 843-acres large, navigating within the park can be tough, and if you are trying to get out to a specific exit or direction, can sometimes be challenging if you are unfamiliar with the surrounding buildings. Luckily, there is a secret code embedded on every lamppost within the park that can help you get around. Learn all about it in this great short video from YouTuber Alec Bostwick.

Using sources from the NYC Parks Department and others, the team at Bike Rental Central Park recently created this great infographic showing all of the fauna and flora you can find in New York City. Suspiciously omitted are the giant rats and sewer alligators…

When you imagine New York City, visions of imposing skyscrapers, dazzling lights, and concrete labyrinths may come to mind. The incredible population of New York suggests that there would be little room for biodiversity beyond humans. In reality, New York City is home to hundreds of animal species, making it a vibrant hub of urban wildlife.
