Over the next few weeks, the Bronx Zoo is once again offering their insanely popular Name-a-Roach fundraiser in which you can name to one of their thousands of Madagascar hissing cockroaches after someone you love… or maybe an ex that you hate!

The zoo is again offering the opportunity to name a new crop of giant Madagascar hissing cockroaches for Valentine’s Day 2017. Each gift comes with a colorful certificate emailed to your loved one announcing that a cockroach has been named in his or her honor.

It only costs $10 to name the roach and get a certificate, but if you bump up your donation to $35, you also get a sweet cockroach plushie or a box of chocolates from Brooklyn-based chocolatier Nunu Chocolate Company. A $50 donation gets you all three.

"The Butterfly Conservatory: Tropical Butterflies Alive in Winter" Exhibit Opens at AMNH This Weekend

If you are looking for something to do this Saturday to avoid Santacon in Midtown/Lower Manhattan, why not head to the American Museum of Natural History, where their annual butterfly exhibit The Butterfly Conservatory: Tropical Butterflies Alive in Winter opens for the season!

By constructing a 1,200-foot structure called a vivarium, the museum has recreated the butterflies' natural habitat while giving visitors the chance to walk among them. […] Butterflies from Florida, Costa Rica, Kenya, Thailand, Malaysia, Ecuador and Australia flutter through the space with their vibrant wings, which function as a "warning color," explained Hazel Davies, the museum's Director of Living Exhibitions.

Interactive Map Shows What New York City Neighborhoods Have The Most Mosquitos

With the City of New York waging an all-out war against Zika, several tools have popped up to help in the fight, including this interactive map showing which neighborhoods have the highest density of mosquitos in the City.

This map shows the average number of mosquitoes in each trap per week for 2016. The number of mosquitoes trapped does not indicate a likelihood of disease.

Check out the full map to see how dense the mosquitos are in your neighborhood.
